Need buying advice ?

Found an 1984 Z28 with no motor, trans, and wheels for 400. Overall it looks like a good car. Some info not in post is that it is a manual, RS ground effects, complete interior and engine harness is still with car.

here is the link.

My only problem is it is an hour away and I don't have an extra set of wheel to put it on. Being I'm in college it will be a slow build, and i'm currently doing body work to my SC.

Just wanted to hear some ideas on it before i go any further.

As long as you know what you are in for and are capable of both acquiring needed parts, as well as having the know how - or persons that do - to get the parts installed, it seems like a good enough deal. Find someone with a strong truck, SUV etc with a tow hitch. U-haul will rent you either a full-size or partial car dolly to transport it home.

I doubt he's got many people interested in such a big project. Make the deal sealer be that he puts 4 donut tires on the car. Short money and an easy effort for him. If not, your local junkyard will probably sell you 4 for short money.

Finish the SC first. Being in college, you don't need 2 projects.

This is good advice. I have had more than on project and they never seem to get along LOL!. If you have to have the car many GM wheels will fit on it so you could go to a pul apart or junk yard and gets some wheels and tires on the cheap.

Finish the SC first, because you're going to start working on that and have it haunt you with rust, hacked harnesses that are supposedly good, and all the other surprises a roller comes with. Though if you do buy it, I'd knock him to 200 on the price.
