I have recently come into access to the the MVMA sheets for most of the thirdgens. I can get 82, 84, 85, 87, 88, 89, 91, and 92 for Camaros, and 84-91 for the Firebirds. I can also get the FIA Homologation packet from 1986. These are scanned in .pdf format. If there's interest, does someone have a good way to post them?

but i still don't know what MVMA is, I'm guessing it's motor vehicle something something?

Yes defenitly, for the 1989 Firebird I've seen two different versions I got the one from the link above years ago however if you got a different version I would be interested in that one (my email is jlarsson@london.com).

 

It stands for Motor Vehicle Manufacturers' Association. They are basically all the vital specifications for a particular model year of car.

Actually, the link that jez3941 posted above has the exact same info as what I had access to, so feel free to go there and download them. I never realized they were available to the public in that archive.

Really good info if you want to know what things were *supposed* to be from the factory.

 

You can get these for the Camaros at the GM Heritage website. But they took the Firebird ones down so this is useful. Thanks!

Good Point! My 86, which has a late season build date, has the radiator hoses, belts, and altenator design and placement of an 87. These documents don't show variations such as these although this sort of differences are probably common. Still it is nice to add this document to my collection of documents related to the car.

 

Thank you for posting this, I had no idea this stuff existed. I'll be printing this out, nice to have around.

 

I like having these sheets, the site had them for my 84 firebird 86 and 87 mustang and my 87 dodge aries (the only year they had for that car) woooo!
