the keys dont match for the ttops and theres a good amount of rust.

 

added? To me it just seems like the old owner just lost the original t-tops so re replaced them with other t-tops.

 

And they may not have fit right and leaked. Things don't take long to rust.

 

Looks factory, but the part that really tells you is the roof bar. It's obviously added in on conversion cars.
Lot of rust on that roof. I would take a look inside the b pillars before I put any work into that body.

 

It looks like the original t-tops leaked for a long time.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and ask the obvious question -- do you still have your RPO label in the center console? If you do, and you see "CC1" on there, then it's an original t-top car.

it looks like someone has cut the roof off the car and added a t top roof to it. i cant remember GM ever using those little button head screws.

 

Easy way to tell. Look at the "A" pillar, measure the width of the painted area between the windshield and Door window, then measure the painted area between the windshield and T-top... If the measurement is about the same for both the Door Window to Windshield is to Windshield to T-tops then it is Factory. BUT if the measurement of the T-tops to windshield is about twice the distance of the Door window to Windshield then it is C&C.
