It is your car. Put what YOU want on there.

If your looking for originality? Post up a pic of what you have.

Re: Which tail lights go with which years....??

The 82-84 Z28 had the two row lights separated by a black stripe. The 85-92 Z28s had the grid style lights. The 87-90 RS/Sport Coupe had the same lights as the 82-84 Z28 and the 82-87 Sport Coupes had the two row style lights of the Z28, but without the black stripe separating the top and bottom row.

I'd recommend the 1985-92 Z28 taillights...all the other 82-92 Camaro taillights are ugly/cheap looking IMO. 1991-92 RS/base models also got these taillights.

My '87 SC certainly had the black line in the middle, and I can't remember seeing a post '84 sport coupe without the black line. I'm pretty sure that most/all 85-87 had the black stripe.

SOME Pics (worth 999 words?)

82-84 Z28 style (also 87-90 RS/Sport Coupe)

85-92 Z28s (and IROC in appropriate years)

This is the non-stripe tail light mentioned above. I think they may have been 82-84 Sport Coupe only, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm positive they were gone by '85

I thought so too, but I had a 90 with them that was "original" in that the previous owner that had bought it brand new said he had never changed a thing on it.
