slp firehawk build sheet

Does anyone out there have the build sheet that slp had to turn the firebird formulas into firehawks? Does anyone know if they came with sfc? I would love to see the build sheet from a firehawk.

Re: slp firehawk build sheet

Ive never seen one with SFC. (I've seen a lot of the Hawks)
There really wasn't many options over the standard Hawks
Comp package
Recaro seat for passenger and 5pt belts extra
Std cage then one or 2 had funky cages
Aluminum motor (Rodeck block)
Fuelsafe fuel cell
Maybe Eds oil pan but I havent seen any of those.

I'm curious about this because I've never seen a Gen 3 Firehawk. All the one's I've seen have been Gen 4's and 5's.

Re: slp firehawk build sheet

They were canceled before SLP could build them. Anything else would be pure speculation.

Re: slp firehawk build sheet

I'll post the one for #003 that I used to own. I'll have to find the scan on an old HD as the original docs of course went to the owner. Also it's more of a pink invoice with prices, descriptions, and signatures of the original buyer and Hamburger.

BTW, don't need SFC's when you could get a 6-pt or 12-pt roll cage! Driving #003 on a perfectly smoothe road with it's 12pt cage, you could REALLY feel how stiff the car was from tip of the nose to the rear bumper cover. Wicked solid, never experienced anything else like it. That thing was TIGHT.

The higher # car (can't remember the #'s off hand which they were) was going to have to be off a dealer lot anyway, I think the buyer wanted black, just like all the later cars are without the RPO code. GM only allowed the Firehawk RPO code on red 1LE 350/t-top Formys. Some people wanted other colors (white, etc), some wanted a TA vert, and some were just because GM stopped taking orders for the 1992 production year. I think in reality it was the other way around tho, it was so late in the 1992 model year when other buyers came forward, they had to be pulled off lots anyway so other colors and options were an actual choice to people just did it. Hell SLP had parts to build 250 of the cars.

The lower # car was in fact built by GM as it should have been but was never converted by SLP because yes, it's order was cancelled before that could happen. However there is a red 1LE 350/hardtop Formula that was built with B4U (or whatever the RPO was, damn I'm getting old) on it's SPI label. At one point I had the VIN and it was in Kentucky I *think* at the time. This was about 2001 maybe. I never went as far though as to contact the state DMV for the owner info.

Yeah I don't even consider some wheels, a hood, and a couple stickers a real Firehawk. Ok fine, a CAI too. Yeah, the 3rdgen hawks are NOTHING like the ones made after. SLP just went too damn broke and with Pontiac having the new LT1 and 6-spd anyway, they just didn't go as crazy as the early ones.
