Hello, was just wondering if anybody could decode my vin for me please, i dont think the car is anything special, 83 T/A orig 305 i think? Has 350 now, 5 speed t-tops, it has the smoked out tailights. also i have a feeling it was swapped from a auto to manual, any way to tell with the vin?. No rpo codes to be found, the door sticker is still there, but i can't make anything out. The paint is all original yet, but i have noticed the gas door has been replaced(paint is a brighter red). Let me know what i got if you can thanks!

Not much info to "decode"... LG4, 83, Van Nuys, maybe March or April (late in the MY) production at a guess based on the seq #.

 

Cant tell what trans couldve come in it at all huh?
Also, where would those codes usually be on the car?

 

Since GM didnt start using the RPO sticker in the glovebox until the 84 model year, there should be a few codes near the radiator support on a metal plate. Check there.
