Bose delco cassette deck question

I have a Bose delco cassette deck from a z28 camaro, I believe. Were these very common stereos and is it worth anything? Don't have speakers or amplifiers for the speakers, just the deck.

Re: Bose delco cassette deck question

The Bose stereo is the top dog stereo during the 3rd gen years. It's worthless without the speakers because each speaker comes with it's own amplifier. The stereo, by itself, won't play audio. They weren't common as they cost a lot. In 1987, it cost $617 for the upgrade.

And the cassette mechanism tends to crap out. Replaced three in mine since i've owned my car.

Re: Bose delco cassette deck question

Thanks for the quick responses. I was hoping to make a quick buck, too. Ah well. So without the speakers i could only hope to sell it for 25 bucks?

Re: Bose delco cassette deck question

Well it's a Gold series so it should be for those cars model years 1990-1992 but should fit 1987 to 1989 with the difference in lighting. Btw, compare prices with those on the internet auction sites.
