just talked to my local dealership about running the vin number to track down the rpo list and I was told that they can't do anything older than a 1990...
I am hoping that some one on here knows some magical way of getting this information.if I post my vin can someone help me??

Re: help...rpo code sticke torn off

I heard that cars older than '77 were the issue, not 1990. That sounds really early to cut off that kind of info, have you tried a different dealer? Perhaps an out of state one?

Some other ideas that come to mind would be to check behind your door panels, under the carpet (front and rear) and see if you have a build sheet hiding in there somewhere. Also your cowl tag could tell you RPO information if your car was built while they were still putting those on (it would be located on your core support under the hood).

A different dealer will tell him the same thing. The GM EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) only goes back to 1990 for U.S. built cars and trucks. Canadian vehicles go back to 1980.

Ah.

My email says that JT responded to this but I don't see his post anywhere...kindof confusing. idk if the OP saw this but this website can get you the info you need (totally taking this from the email that was generated by JT's mystery post...not my personal knowledge).

youre screwed,, I have the same car.same problem. no RPO sticker in the console.and since the car was re painted previous to my purchase. no door sticker either. so it appears owners such as us have no way to know jack about what we now own
