Can someone tell me where the VINS are located on a 90-91 Formula? Obviously it is on the corner of the windshield. Are there any other places?

 

The obvious one is in the dash like you said, but I have found a few more ares too. On both of the rear quarters one where the spare tire is and the other behind the rear storage box. There also should be one on your driver's door with the tire pressure info and in the center console on the rpo code tag.

If your car hasn't been wrecked or salvage parts added they should be there.

 

But those are stickers, there are two stamped partial VINs that I know of : one near the A/C/heater box square hole and one on the back lip of the cowl panel, under the dash pad. There may be others, but I've taken apart an 84 and an 89 and those are the two I've found.

 

There's a partial stamped in the passenger side front fender rail. That saved my *** in getting a new title. If you pull the battery and fender liner, you can read it with a flashlight and mirror.

There is also a partial VIN stamped into the engine block deck. Front passenger side.

 

THere should also be a partial VIn on the side of the transmission...

I think the last 8 or 9 digits...

Of course if it is the original Trans.. My trans has no numbers it is a blank spot... I hear that means it was a new build replacement trans

 

can somebody post a pic of the partial vin under the dash pad and the one by the heater box thanks guys!
