Okay so on the VIN # on my car it has FP in the third and fourth place indicating it to be a sport coupe. Would it read FP on the VIN# if it was an LT model?? Here's the actual VIN #1gifp21h8hl132836

Guessing it would be since the LT is just a Sport Coupe with a few extra options.

The only thing that will identify your car as an LT would be RPO code B4E on your RPO sticker or build sheet. That and the LT name plates on the outside sail panels like on the Berlinetta, but not on the rear or front bumper cover. The steering wheel is essentially a Z28/IROC steering wheel without the leather covering and a horn cap that says CAMARO LT. Plus the specific stripes and the only Camaro in 1987 to come with 14" steel wheels with full hubcaps or optional 14" aluminum wheels like the gold Berlinetta's but in argent and polished accents. And a bunch of other stuff.....
