Engine: LB9 5.0 TPI
Transmission: 5 SPD
Axle/Gears: Posi Rear
DIAMOND SPOKE WHEEL COLOR CODE
Does anyone know the color code used for the gold diamond spoke wheels (PW7) found on my 1991 Trans Am? I would like to strip and refinish the wheels but have not been able to find the correct paint code.

The Charcoal color is the same color they used on the lower stripe of the Yellow and White Formulas from 1987-1990...
I believe this is the correct color: Gunmetal Metallic 7782 Color number 84 for 1987...
It is not cheap paint, it has pearl in it... I painted my ROH wheels with it and it looks killer IMHO

www.autocolorlibrary.com has images of the actual PPG GM paint charts by year, but the wheel paint charts that my PPG store used to have are not there.
Depending on the build date, if the color is Gunmetal it could be listed as either 84P or 87P; the color code charged partway through the '87 model year, although the actual color did not.

Thanks Frankie... I noticed that the 7782 was changed from 84 to 87... I had noted somewhere it had changed in the 1988 Model Year... I did not know it was a mid year change... I will have to look and see if any of my 87's have the 87
