Two Similar IROC-Z Convertibles on ebay. One low miles, one super low miles.

I'm watching these two with interest.

The '88 has 31K miles.

The '90 has 3.5K miles.

Obviously, the '90 is going for the big money.

odometer issues reported on the super low mile car.
My guess - $13K for low miler and $26K for super low miler. But the history report is worrisome.

I wonder if the odometer issue is because someone entered the miles incorrectly? It says a corrected title has been issued.

I'd bet you are pretty darned close on the prices.

I know the owner of the 1990 IROC convertible. The mileage is correct and it is one of the nicest convertibles that I have seen. I looked at it very closely myself when he bought it last year. I couldn't find any flaws. He has owned many 3rd gen Camaros over the years and this is the nicest of them all.

Yeah, looks like a top tier 3rd gen.

Last year the owner of the 1990 IROC came by my place and it still had the correct date coded tires according to the month it was built. That is another way to double check actual miles on a car that would be hard to duplicate.

Just curious, did he drive it to your place, or trailer it?

He drove it to my place. The tires looked brand new. It has never been out of a garage overnight or driven in rain. I know that the tires are over 25 years old but the car has been stored correctly.

My own 1988 IROC convertible that I have owned for over 20 years also still has the original date coded tires on it. They are still in excellent condition with 17,000 miles on mine. It has been garaged since new and never driven in the rain. I've wondered about the age of my tires too, but then I don't drive it on the freeway!

That '90 is a fantastic car, no doubt. But I find it odd the y-pipe is so covered in surface rust along with the rear axle. Also looks like it doesn't have an aluminum drive shaft, it's as rusty as the diff. Maybe I'm spoiled out here in CA, but I am curious just *how* it has been stored? On bare concrete full of moisture? I've seen ALLOT of cars with over 100,000 miles that have a MUCH better looking rear diff than that.

I think it really goes to show that people in states where it's wet and cold need to properly seal their concrete floors and keep the humidity in their garages down.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the car, just making an observation that could benefit someone looking to store a car long term.

The DS is steel. Also, it looks like someone has applied some sort of paint or coating to the diff in the past. The 10 bolts came as bare metal.

Yeah, that's a nice one. I think I saw it posted here? And it's not so low miles that you'd be afraid to drive it. The stick appeals to me as well. I'd DEFINITELY check it out if it were closer. I'd have to sell one of mine if I got that, though.

I guess that's where I've been wrong then. Mine is painted black so I thought they all came this way. It was like that when I got the car with 69K on it and the paint has only worn off a few place and still not rusted. Guess I'm just lucky

The '90 is up to $22.6 with 2.5 days left and the '88 is at $6100 with almost 2 days left.
