I bought a NOS 85-90 Firebird Fog Light and it came with a metal bracket (GM # 16511459) different than the bracket that holds my 1990 fog lights. I did a search online and can't figure out what vehicle this bracket goes on. I don't need it, but I don't want to throw out a NOS metal bracket either. Can anyone help out? The brackets I've always seen are pictured below. (It's the left junky looking one in the first photo.)

 

I still can't track down the part number, but this bracket seems identical to the fog light bracket for 88-97 Chevy GMC pickups (despite me buying this as advertised for a 85-90 Firebird). That being said, the fog light itself seems exactly identical. I see people paying ridiculous amounts on Ebay for NOS 85-90 Firebird fog lights ($60+ per light). The NOS Chevy Blazer and GMC fog lamps seems exactly identical as to the light itself (just the metal mount is different - which won't show anyway - so you can still use your old mount and it won't matter), and these are well under 1/2 the price. Does anyone have any feedback on this? I hate to see Firebird people paying more online for an identical part simply because it's advertised differently.

 

Ive seen the original bracket too for the 85-90 and even the 91-92 firebird fog light/turn signal versions and they look nothing like this one. I called the GM dealer and gave them that part number to look up and they couldnt find what it fit.

BTW...Pretty sure it is a fog light bracket for an SS 454 Pick up-drivers side.
