Rare RS????????

I honestly think I have a rare rs, I have yet to find another optioned like this one, I've found some RSs and Zs in books that were similar, but not the same.

the only option that I have seen on another car (Z28) that I don't have are power seats, which I'm not even sure it they were available in a RS.

Thanks for the help, maybe the car isn't even rare, but I'd really like to know.

Check your rpo codes for B4C, this is an Z28 in the RS body. If your car comes with a LB9 5spd, or L98 auto it might be one. Also they're supposed to not have speed limiters, or kickdown valves, etc. Later B4C's have the 1LE brakes, but not all of them. Really it was just a way that gov't agencies could get a Z28 without all the flashy nonsense they didn't need. Why would they pay for a spoiler and hood bulges and foglights?

Since the RS was the base model car from 89-92 they aren't rare at all. There isn't anything to make an RS rare. Obscure option combos are unusual, but nothing more than noteworthy.

drew you brought up a good point, but usually rare and unusual are about the same thing, none the less has anyone seen/owned a rs like mine.

no it isn't a b4c or anything, just heavy on the options

Most of the time the Camaro RS is the entry level car and so they dont' have many options, but its not impossible or unusual to see a fully loaded RS. If a person walked into a chevy dealership in 91 and wanted a camaro and didn't like the Z28's huge spoiler they could sit down and order a RS with every single option short of the performace items specific to the Z28.

Since you didn't describe your exact car, based only on your signature...

late model 91 rs (very many produced, year and a half production run)
fully loaded, (when we say fully loaded I assume you mean power locks, power windows, power mirrors, power antenna, factory CD, auxilary lighting, cargo shade, etc etc etc Most of these options could and were selected selected or were included in option packages. With your RPO codes you could get an idea of which option your car has that is the most rare by using the Camaro Whitebook.
auto, (again extremely common in the thirdgen cars.)
t-tops, (fairly common)
red leather, (not unheard of)
red, painted 16" Camaro rims (typical of most V8 RS)
305 tbi (extremely common)

With your exact RPO codes something might stand out, but generally there isn't anything rare about the RS. With only the RS and the Z28 being offered int he Camaro platform for 91-92 there are a ton of RS's in circulation.

I have all the stuff you have mention expect a power antenna,
I forgot one of the wierdest things though, the first owner put the hypertech chip in and said it wouldn't take it. he had to have a mechanic look at it and they discover it had a 92 comuter, so they had to get a 92 chip, (I thought the 91-92 computer were the same, I don't know if the guy is full of it or is telling the truth, the box says 92 on it)
