What is this Cartoon Drawing From?
Does anybody know what this image is from? I put this in the history section because it seems like the audience that might know, but if another forum is appropriate, please move as necessary.

I found it as the image placeholder used for a synthwave song on YouTube.

Good ol Atari 2600, where two blocky stick men in cowboy hats and a cactus is an intense shoot out rivaling the OK Corral. I mean that image looks EXACTLY like the realistic gameplay depicted in the screenshot...

Technology has to start somewhere, look at the difference between computers on our cars, and what we have today. I remember when pong first hit the market. Lol

Re: What is this Cartoon Drawing From?
I remember playing this game. It was an OK game to play. At the time Atari came out with this system, if you wanted to play a video game, you went to a Arcade or Bar and dropped $5 to $10 worth of quarters each time you wanted to play. I was lucky and owned an Arcade. I had all the keys and could play anytime I wanted.
The Atari games were cheesy, low quality, didn't work very well, but were free to play once you had a system. Some games were fun, but today's gamers would find them very primitive. Game cartridge covers always had these great graphics but the games never looked like the covers. I remember playing Pong the most, just because it worked the best.

Sounds like us.
Especially me, since I'm Asian. It's a joke, lighten up, Francis.

Ok. This thread started out with historical backing, but now it's just gotten funny. The power of an Atari was probably more than our car's computers, which is sad compared to today's cars.

Which is true, but they had to start somewhere and I guess the third gen was as good as place as any to start. Just think, that was the top of technology at the time.

I think it's odd that they used F-bodies to market Bump 'N Jump for 2600 and Intellivision considering all other marketing for other versions of the game used VW dune buggies.
