Here is a vert for sale at the asking price of $34,900. It just turned over to 1400 miles. It seems to be fully loaded with the exception of the G92 package.

The only reason I know it doesn't have G92 is the speedometer only goes to 110mph where as the (G92) 3.23 geared verts have a 145 mph and a tach that red lines higher than this one does. It would also have the external oil cooler if it had the G92 which was available in '88.

Are they really going up in value this much? If they are things are looking good for us 3rd gen owners!

I don't see it as crazy in that condition. The vert adds quite a bit of value. I'd guess it could sell in the high $20s.

 

Hmmm. Amazing how thought processes change. I've been told that these cars will never be worth an asking price of over $30k. I posted mine last year at this price and a few people started calling me names and were very rude to me because of my price.

 

A twin of my car, except without a stick and 6K fewer miles.

I hope he gets every penny, but at $35K, it'll be sitting a while.

 

If it's a 1400 non vert then I'd expect $20k.

 

Convertible values are very dependent on location. Around here pony car convertibles flood the market and move slowly. Weather's too harsh.

 

I just bought a 1988 convertible 5 speed g92 j 30 with sticker delete option for 2000 dollars and drove ito home 50000 original miles think it's the rarest convertible I've ever seen

 

I also have a 1990 iroc with 2400 original miles but it's not as rare it's a typical 305 auto car just the production number for convertibles are low for that year.
