PACE CAR QUESTION

Did The Actual Pace Car Have Clear Headlight Covers,I Know 3 Pace Cars Were Used,The 2 Front Cars (See Pics From 1982 Race) Were Only Used On The Parade Lap. Their Headlight Openings Look Much Darker Than The Actual Pace Car. Pics Aren't That Clear.

Re: PACE CAR QUESTION

Yes they did. They are the same covers that are used on the export models

Re: PACE CAR QUESTION

Actually, no. There were three holes drilled in the fascia. On the covers, there are posts that are notched at an angle that lock the covers in place. So you go straight down into the holes and when you angle them back towards the headlight, the notches grab the fascia to hold the covers tight at the bottom. There are also three holes at the top, drilled into the headlight housing, to lock the top three tabs into.
