Re: Factory V Belt set?

I threw out all my take off V-belts this past summer.

It seems like rubber items generally came from a variety of contractors. I'm not sure that Norwood/Van Nuys used the same supplier for an entire model year. You might want to get a lot more specific than V-belts.

I'm sure you're aware, but the current AC Delco replacements have the modern logos and really stand out as replacements.

Re: Factory V Belt set?

Looking for Dayco belts I suspect. How many suppliers were used that you know of? My focus is on model years 1987-1988.

Thanks in advance!

I suspect Gates was another of the suppliers.

Re: Factory V Belt set?

I've seen Goodyear, Dayco, and Gates rubber products on thirdgens. Most of what I deal with are 91s, my 87 had a full set of non-oe Napa belts, and all my 86 belts went in the dumpster this last round of cleanup.

Re: Factory V Belt set?

I know this is an old post but here are a couple of my belts on my 1986 iroc-z LB9. Anyone find reproductions or originals for sale?
