That pump would still put out more pressure than the stock LU5 pump, but i believe the others are talking about the 85 corvette pump which was a 5.7 350 TPI.
Very true Vince of recent Delco products IE the E-core Oil Filters, But IIRC my EP241 pump had laser stamp of "Made In USA or Canada" and I haven't had any issues with it last 10 years

Dave
I think they started outsourcing the pumps. I bought the pump about 4 years ago and by then I think they outsourced to China.

Well, much to my surprise, My wife called me while i was out picking up a new car, That the CFI was delivered today(wasnt supposed to be here until tuesday)
I have ordered a full rebuild kit for the throttle bodies, Tomorrow I am pulling the injectors out and taking them to my buddies shop to get cleaned and checked.
New 85 tpi fuel pump is on the way
New intake manifold/plenum gaskets are on the way
I SCORED a set of BRAND new never mounted goodyear's that are the exact same as whats on the car currently(which are the original tires), these will be going on the factory wheels to replace the originals
For a set of driver wheels, I'm sending my 15x8 snowflakes off to get refinished, and then repainted the correct gold to match the 83
For my 1981 Turbo TransAm, i ordered 17x9 snowflakes from year one, the turbo wheels just dont do it for me, at all...lol
Should look like that when i get em, I havent decided on tires yet
Tomorrow if i feel a little better (came down with a cold or something), I'm going to focus on dropping the fuel tank, and draining literally every fluid from the car. Im hoping the fuel tank can be cleaned, but im banking on having to purchase one for it.
I also ordered 4 new brake rotors and front/rear pads.
Another worry of mine is the transmission, having sat so long without having fluid circulated and the clutches going dry. My plan for that is to put the car on the lift and let the car warm up fully, and place the trans in drive and let it just sit there on the lift without putting pressure on the clutches from trying to "drive" it, then let it cool, and do it a few more times before trying to actually drive it out. Am i overthinking this? lol
I also am super excited about my new lift! For now until my new shop is built, this is gonna have to make do, I picked up a maxjax 2 post, my current shop is 40x40 with 10 foot ceilings, New shop is going to be 80x60 with 20 foot ceilings, but thats not starting until may or june.
No real other news, Aside from picking up a new to us family hauler, 2008 Charger R/T.

Chargers are good cars. My daily driver is a 2013 AWD Charger. I love it.
My only complaint is I wish there was a button to turn the AWD on / off. It selects automatically based on windshield wipers and / or temperature. There's days in the winter when it's cold but no snow so AWD isn't needed. I get 5mpg more when it's just in RWD.

Excellent idea, the more patient and gentle you are in bringing it out of storage the better it will be.

No real updates, starting cleaning the exterior, its coming along but its going to need to be cut/buffed.
CFI is on and bolted all back down, linkages hooked up, etc etc.
Tank has to come down, i can hear the fuel pump come on, and injectors click, but no fuel from the lines, I hooked my vacuum pump extractor to the fuel feed line on the chassis, and what came out, wasnt as bad as i thought it'd be.

Some more pics after washing 27 years worth of crud off it, this week it will get buffed out, sadly theres a decent amount of fine scratches from the previous owners putting boxes and **** on the car over the years, I think most will buff out though.

Few years ago I rented a 13 Charger V6 and was VERY impressed with TQ and power for a V6 !!! So I was VERY tempted on getting a x-cop Charger but kept seeing them with blown engine and electrical problems @ around 100K miles, NOT good in my book
Know a cop car wholesale guy in midwest with several '12+newer Cop Hemi Chargers for $7000 each. I' m VERY VERY tempted lol

thanks for the compliments guys, car is just waiting on parts at the moment, i am sending the throttle bodies off to get shaft bearings, and fully rebuilt with new injectors.
Got a call on a line of thirdgens, Currently making a deal to buy them all (12 in total)
Sunday I am picking up a 1989 Formula 350 that's been sitting for 20 years, I will post pictures of that if im able to acquire it, But it looks like its coming home with me, at least im hoping that it does! I also need to get my daughters 83 z28 to my house hopefully this weekend, I did manage to pickup an engine for her car (technically i bought 14 engines haha)
Some will say WTF, but i think its going to be a cool swap...It's getting a 2005 mercedes S500 5.0 liter v8/5spd auto
They are BULLETPROOF reliable, make 363hp and get pretty good fuel mileage, My daily is a mercedes S500, had it 4 years now, has 200k miles, and runs perfect! The 14 engines i bought, 12 are a mix of pontiac 400/455s, the other two are a 400chevy, and a 350 chevy.
Sorry for the scatterbrained post, Ive been burning the candle at both ends all week, and im exhausted lol.

could pull out and reinsert the prom to try and restore proper contact between the prom pins and the socket incase they have became oxidized over the long sit.BTW same thing can happen with the fuses after they sit undisturbed over several decades-once car is back in operation, feel for any fuses that are heating up-pull and reinsert if they heat
