Missing SPID label

I have a 1986 IROC, and Im missing the spid label, is there anyway to find out what options are or were on the car. Its just a base LG4 car, but its yellow, and Ive wanted a yellow IROC my entire life. This is my 10th 3rd gen. Im going to restore it (it needs it badly) but I want it to be right. any help would be appreciated, Ive taken seats out to look for build sheet, found nothing. I hope yall can help me, thanks

Re: Missing SPID label

If the SPID is missing and you haven't found the buildsheet, unless the vehicle is an export, the only option left is to order a copy of the invoice. Note the invoice will not contain every single RPO on the SPID but there is basically no other options.

Re: Missing SPID label

Unless it's an export, they typically are no longer in the database. Anything older than 1989/1990 that's not an export is about the cutoff date.

Give it a try but it's almost certainly not going to turn up as GM doesn't (or didn't) see the need to have the information kept for a 31 year old vehicle. Lots, including myself, have tried.

1986 way to old to pull codes at ANY dealer. Most were purged in the 90's/early 00's

Like JT said '89/90'ish is cutoff years. The '90-92 cars are only ones I noticed that you can pull codes and possibly other info with the VIN #
