I ever wondered if there was ever a 3rd unmarked camaro police car. I've only seen DARE B4C Camaros.

 

Yes. Most of the B4Cs in fact.

Most of the DARE cars running around, whether they be Camaro, Mustang, monster truck, Jeep, whatever, get "marked" locally by the police dept that owns them. The majority of those are drug seizures and the like. Not B4Cs, which more typically, were state HP cruisers, used as unmarked speed traps and the like. If memory serves CHP had quite a few of them back in the day.

I remeber while looking for a Caprice 9C1 few years ago I saw a GOV surplus auction and several 4th gen B4C's were being auction off in Guam or something lol

Only time I EVER saw a Maro 3RD gen B4C on one of those GOV auctions was a green '91 or 92 EX-FBI car with STUPID low miles !!


Always wondered why the hell did the Treasury dept need a Camaro in the first place ??

There was a white(I think) for sale near Herkimer NY last year. Did anybody on here buy it?

 

Found some pictures of some FBI Camaro B4Cs online. I find grey, black, and a few green ones. Wondered if they had police lights back in their past life.

 

The 4th Gens in Guam were likely chase planes for the U2 spy planes which were stationed there. The planes needed help on take off & landings and the Camaro's would chase them down the runway for observation.

That's fast and furious looking there, lol! I was on 95 near Baltimore years back and I saw a fourth gen Camaro and an early 2000 something mustang state police cars. Always wondered if the cops went out drag racing late at night..

 

There any police lights on unmarked camaros 3rd gen?

 

Strobes in the front & rear marker lights, light bar at the top inside of rear window and dash mounted front facing strobes.

At least the ones they had around here for the state police.
