1982 firebird S/E

Hello

after many years as inactive member of thirdge.org, this is my first post, this because normally I can found many of the information need it in old post.

currently I own a firebird 1G2AX87H0CL552812, paint in bad condition no decals o emblems , in fact is repainted 2nd time to black but this is not the original color , I discovered this is a 1892 S/E with LG4 engine, TH350 AT(maybe swap) ,rear wing spoiler, rear wiper and washer, "knight rider" shifterknob , radio with casset deck , flat hood , 84 wheels.
so my question is :
There is some way to know correct production options?
, there is no label and I am not original owner.

Thank you for any advise.
jo.

Re: 1982 firebird S/E

An S/E is always going to be worth less than a T/A in the same condition. I kinda like them as they always came loaded with options, but really it's just kind of an upgraded base model.

No '82 is really common at this point, but I'd be surprised if they didn't build a ton of '82 S/E's. Still, the rarity factor is not not enough to support a higher value by itself. Nonetheless, it should be worth slightly more to someone than a complete base model '82.

Re: 1982 firebird S/E

Unless it has VERY low miles and 100% original condition, a Firebird S/E will NEVER have any collector value.

Yes, they were low production for 1982(Around 13K built that year??), But as already stated its just a base firebird with LOADED options that's all.

And the TH-200 was the ONLY automatic transmission for 1982. Third gens NEVER came with Th-350's !!!

Just enjoy the car and have fun, Maybe install a red scanner on the bumper and go crazy lol

Re: 1982 firebird S/E

sorry for late answer.
thank you for your value comments , this give me some idea what I have ,
I believe I just will put it in a decent shape and that's it , I mean I don't care in originality value at this point , in the end I just like to enjoy week ends driving trough highway.

in near future I will post some pics with progress.

regards
jo.
