Once again since for some reason my links never work, lol. Philadelphia Craigslist, cars for sale, search trans am. So this guy has this thing listed, and claiming it's one of 400 5 speed cars. Any way to verify that? If so, would it be a high dollar car if restored? He doesn't have an asking price, so wonder what he thinks it's worth. I think it'd be a cool project, but is it worth any more than any other ho t5 car?

 

I saw it. That car is rough. It definitely has more value as a Recaro but IMHO you will invest more into it then it will be worth when you are done.

Shoot I'd pay 2K for that car all day...take a big loan out from the band and go to town...hope it finds a new home...totally rad car for sure!

 

Well he's not too far off with his price...I'd see if you can get him down to $1.50 though considering the work it needs.

That would be an option combination, GM didn't track the numbers close enough to really know.

Neat car, but the rust is a huge turn off.

 

it's a cool car, but would cost a lot to get it restored. between body work, paint and reupholstering the seats you'd already be into it for over $10K easy.

 

Exactly... It'd cost more to restore than what a nice example should cost. Restored isn't the same as original either.
