What is the tubing layout for stock 1987 Trans am 5.0?
I bought the car off a guy and he took the entire a/c system out. Now I am trying to get it running but at the top of the water pump there is a port that was gushing out water when we were trying to flush the radiator. Is this port supposed to go to the A/C or heater core? does it go somewhere important? or can it be plugged off?

Port in the water pump should be plugged. If it's carbed, the port in the intake goes to the bypass valve. TPI the intake port comes up to the throttlebody port, then from the other side of the throttlebody to the bypass valve.
Borrowed this diagram from another thread... Only thing not shown is the U shaped hose from the intake to the throttlebody. Only difference carb, TBI, vs TPI is the hose to the valve runs to the intake on those cars. Cars without AC don't have the valve, and the pipe wouldn't have the T to the valve, the TB would go right to the heater core, and the pipe from the heater core would run to the radiator port.
