Re: 1985 TRANS AM KAMMBACK L69

Pro Team Corvette got the car from the auction of the John O'Quinn estate. If you don't know the name, he was the tobacco settlement attorney.

Had hundreds of vehicles when he met his untimely demise. Right after the accident, my phone rang w a couple if collectors asking if I heard, and how soon the collection might be avail. Damn. Body wasn't even cold!!

Better looking than the second and fourth gen wagon in my opinion.

Re: 1985 TRANS AM KAMMBACK L69

There have been many discussions about the Thirdgen Kammback. From what I could glean from all the talk, people either loved it or hated it; there was no in between. I'm one of those people who like wagons. Growing up, our family had a few of them. I really wish GM had gone ahead with this. It would have been cool to see F-body wagons on the road. I also wish that one of the big parts companies like Classic or OPG would offer this. I can't afford a $69k dollar prototype, but I probably could afford to have a Kammback shipped to my home. Then other F-body owners could tell me how much they hate my car!

And I think I have mentioned this before, from the looks of it, the third gen kammback reminds me of the Nissan Pulsar NX with the interchangeable hatch to wagon feature.

What will suck about whomever gets that car is it has no VIN#.
So it can never be registered for on road use.
