They need to fix that VIN, it's comes back on a 2016 F150 according to the auto check listed in that lame ad.

When I'm spending that kind of money on a car I only like to have 3, maybe 4 pictures.
Any more & I'm not buying.

I have seen more pictures on a $1000 listing.I guess people are thinking these cars are gold mines and only a couple of pics and a vague description all that is needed.
I does look nice though from the four pictures.

all these sellers are looking at the prices that vanguard motors are asking and they are thinking thats what these cars are going for .. they fail to realize vanguards irocs have been on there for a year and are not selling ..

My guess is she is looking at retirement, and when she didn't win big at the church BINGO, she figured she would "cash in" by selling her trophy-winning IROC.

Hey all -
We had to pay over 13% on our car loans back then. We have to recoup that somehow!

I will say.. It seems like a nice, low mile IROC goes for more than a C4 these days..
Never thought that would happen back in the 90s..

Re: $32,500 for a 100K mile IROC
c4 vettes are horrible and are worth nothing .. right now these people want 24,900 for there 100k iroc .. the problem is for that price you can buy a 4k mile 92 5.7 z28 or a 89 iroc with a 5.7 with 17k miles for 18,000 .. there way off

Yeah these people are ridiculous.. they must be looking at Vanguard Motors pricing who are also ridiculous.
I was just pointing out I never thought C4s would go for less money than IROCs.. it’s funny because there’s a lot of C4 creampuffs out there that were bought and babied in the 90s so there’s a high inventory of nice C4s and no one wants them. Meanwhile nice IROCs are harder to find and worth more money..
Joke is on those Vette guys from the 90s that looked down on thirdgens.. ha ha

C4s are a good buy right now at the prices they are going for. C3s looked great but are horrendous to drive and slower than Christmas. I used to outrun them in a LG4 Formula. Atleast the C4s are decent performers and while they have lil issues that plague them you can find em in nice low mileage examples and they are enjoyable to drive.

Late model C4's are a terrific value & with the LT-1 motor provide excellent performance. Stylish, affordable & if taken care of very reliable.

Lol. Well 84s were trashed because of the Cease Fire Injection engine in them that was replaced by the much better TPI debut in 85. Maybe that's why the 84s were trashed and not liked.

The Doug Nash 4+3 manual is also a joke for a sports car. Once they switched to the ZF 6-speed, they became pretty desirable cars.

Have you driven one? The 4+3 trans is not that bad if maintained properly. I actually don't mind them at all. The 4+3 is 20582349823 times better than ANY 700R4/4L60e... Automatics suck...

I have actually thought about scooping up a C4.. especially if a nice LT4 pops up.. every once in a while you’ll find a 1996 Collectors Edition or even some plain looking C4s that were ordered with the Grand Sport motor.. can find them for under $15k with low miles too..

If I find a good example with a manual tranny I'm going to get one. Almost bought an 85 but it didn't have a/c and needed too much work I knew I didn't have time to fool with. My uncle picked up a nice Grand Sport for like 8500. Lucky dog.
Re: $32,500 for a 100K mile IROC
This is blasphemy. I already get "Nice Corvette" too often when I drive the Formula. Maybe when my hair turns silver and I lack the strength to push the accelerator pedal past 2K RPM I'll understand the draw of the Vette.

I think a clean, well maintained car that needs nothing mechanical might bring these higher amounts, especially 350 or LB9/T5 cars. If the low mile virgins are bringing high teens to low 20s, then why can't a clean higher mileage example bring half that?

I'm kinda surprised by that, because I feel like the market is getting to a point where it might bear a price like that for a car in good condition. 2 summers ago I sold an 88 IROC BADLY in need of paint. Interior was OK, clean but needed seat covers. Car was perfectly rust free, had a 400hp 355 with a super ram and T5 with a PBR disc rear with a tight posi and 3.73 gears. The first guy that saw it paid $7k for it on the spot and was happy as a clam. I've kept in touch with him and 2yrs later he's STILL happy about his purchase. You could argue that I didn't have it priced high enough.

The problem is that so many low mile cars are out there. Someone will pay 9K. But I'd rather pay $9K for an untouched car with 50K-75K miles.
Re: $32,500 for a 100K mile IROC
It's a nice car and all, Jeremy. At least by the few pics she posted. I am a bit distracted by the upside down stripes and aftermarket turn signal lamps though. Makes you wonder what a closer look would reveal.

Anything under 15K is high miles, (like 125-150K miles), or needing lots of work with mystery motor rebuilds.
A friend recently bought an unmolested '87 GN with about 100K miles for under $10K. But that was a friend of a friend deal.

Keep in mind that if you found a 2010 SS Camaro with 100k, you'd say that was about right. This is an 89. 3 times older than the 2010 and it has the same miles. Not gettin' nit picky, but it was probably well cared for. There are a few things that catch my attention, but in general, I'd pay about 10k for a 30 year old car like this., -generally speaking. There are several cars I've seen in the past few months that I've considered, and they're all about $7500 to $10k, and mileage all about 75k to 100k.
...I've also considered a LT 1/4 c4, as well as a T-type. ....but then....I also want to LS swap an early 80s 2 door Malibu, so take all that with a grain of sale, lol!

I don't think the mileage is as much of an issue as the way the car in question just doesn't blow my skirt up... I have trouble getting excited about a White Iroc. Same with the ubiquitous Red Iroc. Now make that a Metallic Red, Met. Blue, Met. Gray, and we can talk.
Besides, we're getting hung up on if's and butt's. Hypothetically this car will get down to $9k around the time the Yellowstone Caldera blows us all to hell.

I was wrong! I figured they'd drop the price 5 grand when they relisted. Still at $24,900.
