91 Z28 Question
First post here so new at this so bare with me ! From what info I can come up with I believe I may have a rare/desirable Gen 3 it's a 1991 Z28 G80/G92 B2L Car with 33000 miles on it some RPO numbers I can't decode include IAY,IP2,R6V, and R8T . It has flame red int. , flame red leather seating and Brilliant Red Met Paint . all original and unmolested . If what I find on 1991 Chevrolet Camaro History only 175 of these cars were built in 1991 which I think would make the list but didn't see it listed but may have missed it . If all my info is correct it would be interesting to know how many of these cars are left on the road . I am the second owner of the car it was dealer ordered by my father in Rapid City SD and I bought it from his estate after his passing . Any input would be great Thank You for any feed back

I moved this from another thread, it made more sense to create a new thread.

Re: 91 Z28 Question
Welcome to TGO!
First remember that rare and valuable/desireable aren't the same. Often they are.....but many times...not so much.
As for RPO codes, I'm not familiar with those RPOs that you listed off the top of my head, but the value would be with that G92 or G92 with 1LE. Sounds like you don't have 1LE, but the G92 was certainly a plus! ....as a NON 1LE expert, I think it pretty much just added brakes and AC Delete to the requisite G92. ....Regardless, that G92 is certainly not the norm, add the B2L/350, and then the color combo......I'd say that's a pretty darn rare car! ......low mileage, good condition, ......then that color combo.....yes, I'd say it's a pretty rare car, and there certainly can't be many like that left. ....as for value? With these cars right now, it depends on the day, lol. As is often said, it's worth what someone will pay. I used to think that was an obvious statement, often with a tone of snarkiness by whoever said it.....but right now it's really the truth. Guys are overpaying out the wazoo one day, and then others are picking up twice the car at half the price tomorrow. So hard to say.
What I can say it that this entire thread is worthless without SOME PICS OF THAT CAR! C'mon man!?

Re: 91 Z28 Question
You have it listed as a 1LE, but you didn't mention it in the thread. Is it a 1LE? .....probably wouldn't mean much for your driving enjoyment, but would certainly add value!
