- '81 build '82s...I found a loaded Z28 at the junkyard back in 1990 that had an 11/81 date on the door jamb sticker. Dark blue Crossfire and seemed to be equipped with every possible option-even had carpeted cargo well cover and rear wiper
In my area,thirdgens were just starting to appear at the junkyards ~1990,and this one was soon stripped to nothing..IIRC,last 4 of vin was something like 2400 which I thought meant ~2400th made but might have been earlier sequence than that ? (based on the '82 production thread going on
)

My brothers old car was a Norwood built car and was 2064..... The car was totaled in 1989 so I have no idea what the build date was, but according to your post it was probably also 11/81
My Mother bought a new '82 Sport coupe very basic car, Charcoal Gray, AM-FM stereo, tilt wheel , Rally wheels, wsw tires, it was a 2.5 iron duke and automatic, it was built at VanNuys 12/81 and the VIN was 107275. It was delivered to a small dealership here in Wisconsin in a snow storm in January 1982.
