RPO CODE QUESTION.

I have a 1988 iroc z28 Camaro 5.7-liter engine. My question has to do with the G92 RPO code. I have code G80, J65, AND KC4, Do I need to also have G90 in order to have the G92 performance axle package? Getting ready to put in a new fuel pump and try to get it running after it has set for the last 9 years.

Re: RPO CODE QUESTION.

G90?

If you don't have G92 on your SPID sticker then you don't have it. That statement is specifically for your 1988 IROC-Z 5.7 because 2.77 gears were standard on that car. You'd need the 3.27 gear for the G92 code. Do you have GH3? If so, then that's the 2.77 gears and why no G92.

In 1988, if you have G92, it WILL say G92 on the SPID.
