Everything I read says this should not be an option, but here's the RPO code list (note the "GU5" and "MD8").



I do not own this car (yet) but I'm just trying to get a better understanding of what I'm looking at. On paper, does this 86 auto have 3.23 gears?

 

Virtually every SPID I've seen for an '86 IROC with LB9 has had GU5, 3.23.

 

correct , every 86 tpi iroc that i have owned and seen had 3.23 gears and this was does to .. most had g80 posi also and this one doesnt ..

 

I thought the options for an auto were only 2.73 and 3.42, I must have been mistaken.

 

 

The 3.23 is optional with the G92 package? So shouldn't both GU5 and G92 be present on the printout?

Sorry if I'm making this more confusing than it needs to be.


I found this thread and I think that may have cleared things up for me. Thanks for the help everyone.

 

Buddy of mine has 2 86 irocs that are of the LB9 and 700r4 variety... both 3.23 gears. Both of his heaps are J65 and G80 cars as well.
