Odd idea for a Camaro, I don't get why they were popular for any car, but the fake-spoked hubcaps were a much desired luxury item in those days.

They looked good in the 70s and early 80s. Not unusual to see them on numerous cars, stock from the manufacturer. They were typically an option on an already well-equipped model.
