History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!
Back in the day, I drove Mustang 5.0's. The IROC was THE stoplight competitor. I learned to have a keen eye for the subtle "5.7" ahead of the Tuned Port Injection Badge. The TH700R and big engine made every showdown a major challenge, and I lost more often than I won. So, in honor of my convertible refresh and era upgrade project I treated my scruffy ride to the proper badge. After applying it, I felt 22 years old again. Amazing. The car has been a really hard but really rewarding project. I put the T5 behind the 5.7 and it's just a pleasure to drive around.
P.S. The Coup De Gras is the original KNAC 105.5 Pure Rock Bumper sticker. This is from 1987-ish. I was saving it for the right application and this is it.
You garage gets more interesting every time I see it. First it was the oriental rug. Now a dining room table and chairs. And is that a bakers cooling rack?
That would freakin' awesome to walk into a garage that smells of fresh baked bread. You've got it going on, man!

Amazing how that works ain't it?. I'm 46 now, but yeah, I feel like I'm still ~21 everytime I get behind the wheel of the Camaro (it was my first car)...
Except when I have to crawl under to do work , I'm reminded that I'm still 46...

My garage is a testimony to the art of repurposing, LOL!

holy smokes. So funny. Good observations. I missed it. I’m excited for more !!
I like it Tootie! It is nice to bring those feelings back through stuff we have kept through the years. Glad you enjoy driving the car again. I am not a fan of bumper stickers but in this case it just fits right in!
So it made me go back and take a trip down memory lane and while I did not save a sticker I still have this one stuck to this wooden box. The best 80's rock station in SoFlo!
The 5.7 Tuned Port Injection badge and 5.0 Liter HO would definitely let u know it was a formidable car back in the day. Looks great and I bet it pulls good with the T5! Good job
