I want to start building awareness of next month's TGO Car Of The Month contest. Category will be "10K miles and under", and owners will be able to nominate their own cars.

We're bringing back COTM categories in order to highlight what we (3rd gen owners) can do with our cars. The folks that preserve the originality and history of cars are an important part of the community and our hobby. Hoping to see your car and your stories next month.

I'd kind of like to get more feedback that others are interested so it's not a bust. Right now I'm a little worried we don't have enough cars to run a COTM for this category.

 

I guess I could self-nominate my 1987 IROC, which currently has 6K miles on it.
(It had 3K miles on it when I bought it five years ago.)
I wish I could take a few more pictures (it's not leaving the garage until May), but I
think I have enough to represent it.

 

This is going to happen about a week from now. Can you guys help me get some warm fuzzies that we have more than two cars? Any more takers?

 

You've limited the candidates a lot by requiring under 10K miles.....but I'm interested to see what shows up here
Maybe under 20K miles would bring more nominations?

 

Will you be lifting the ban on cars that have been previous winners? If so, then there could be more available, but some of the low mile cars are past winners.

 

Winner more than 3 years ago is fine.

 

So.....I just purchased an all original Trans Am with 10,800 miles.....can I sneak this one in under the 10K mile rule ??

I might suggest opening it to 15K for now, and see how many more candidates pop up. If you still need more, you can then change to 20K.

 

Holy crap! My car doesn't qualify for the 15k rule, or even the 20k rule now. I've gotta stop enjoying my car!!!

 

I intend to nominate a current member with under the 10K........
