In do research on multiple cars I have noticed that the 1986 Iroc-z have 2 stripes painted on the drive shaft. They appear to be 1 black and 1 yellow. Has anyone else noticed this, and are there any other color?

I can see there might be 4 different shafts. One for each engine/ trans combo. There used to be an orange stripe in addition to the two color code stripes, but they must have stopped that practice.

I believe these are inspection markings, basically stating that the part has been inspected, or a bolt has been tightened. There is also Blue, a Yellow marking on the axle, and even the pan-hard bar has one.
AFAIK The Driveshafts are all the same from 83+. I am not sure about 82, and the 4 cyl cars from 82-85...
