Does the Monte drive shaft slide in to the IROC trans?
While its in the MONTE.... and the engine and trans are bolted down on the mounts?

If it does, do this.

Put the car up on 4 jack stands so the weight is on the suspension. And the car is level.
Put the drive shaft all the way in the trans tail housing. Pull it back 1"
Measure from the center line of the Ujoint cups on the front of the driveshaft, To the centerline of the rear end yoke where the rear u joint cups will rest. when bolted in.
Take this dimention and the Monte drive shaft to drive shaft shop that makes driveshafts and tell them the length of that measured dimention with the 1" pull back.
that is the right length for your new drive shaft from u joint
to u joint centers.
They will make you and new drive shaft and balance it.
They will want money for this. Pay them.
