I've searched to death and I know this has to have been discussed before somewhere on here at least a few times, but I can't find it. There is just no way I've found a new topic. I've made sure that future people will find this though with the title (if successful). I'm looking to restore the gray colored paint around the shift indicator window on my 90 Formula and no, I don't want to buy a repro Hawk's plate and dremel out holes! Has anyone found a gray color that is exact or at least pretty close to repaint that with? I took a picture of an extra junk plate I have as reference since it was handy. Probably seems trivial to some, but if I'm going to remove and sand it, I want it to look as close to factory as possible when I'm done. Appreciate any help!
I masked mine off and sprayed it with SEM paint... I will have to get the exact color I want to think it might be 15303 Graphite... BUT that might be the semigloss not the gloss. But they do have one which is an exact match...
well one of them I forget which one exactly... But it was not hard. Just had to take it completely apart... a 7mm nutdriver is all you really need.
It does, it just reflects differently than the Gray on the buttons, which were not painted. for some reason the picture looks different than reality... I suspect it has to do with the fact one is paint, one is plastic.
