So what about the spoiler? Pedestals' cut and glued on.
The studs were bolted on to the decklid first and they would squirt some adhesive on the top of the studs and an adhesive bead on lower edge of the spoiler and simply dropped the spoiler on that..
I can totally get behind this... The explanation of going all IROC or nothing is totally understandable... Not just an IROC hood and wheels... 100% looks like an IROC down to the rocker emblems...
I also disliked when people would put slap IROC decals on 85-87 Z28s...

I DID NOT KNOW THAT! The bond on mine has failed, so I guess I will reinstall it the same way!
Also, I'd like to see how you fix the convertible top.
Thanks Charlie!
I watched a YouTube video on replacing a top, so I have an idea how to repair this one. I think I can clean up all of the dried up glue along that edge, and use new 3M contact cement to reglue it, clamp it, and let it sit.
Looks like it's been that way for a while....I don't know how I didn't notice it before...
Ehhhhh....I have had a few 90-92 Camaros......and although I don't hate the airbag steering wheel, it just doesn't really have a "Sports Car" look. It would actually look right at home in a period correct Cadillac, Buick Lesabre, minivan, etc. The 82-89 Z28 wheel is extremely distinctive in styling, and just appears "sporty". But...it all goes back to personal preference. I will say that I wouldn't want any other steering wheel in my 90-92 Camaro, though, no matter what
Hey man, it’s all subjective... always reminded me of the 93-97 wheel but not as refined... also looked a lot like every other car in that time... I love the 80s Z28/IROC wheel...
Can’t believe I’m just now seeing this, rarely visit this part of the forum. You did an amazing job on that car. I’ve considered doing an “Iroc clone” with my 88 sc but it’s just one of those things where I think I might feel like a liar every time someone said “nice Iroc” lol
I damn sure ain’t made at your decision though, car looks so much better. You did it pretty quick too.

As I am sure you know by now, the top originally only used two pop rivets, one on each far out side . The rest of the rear bow was just glued. A few months after I installed mine it started coming loose the same way yours is. I did reglue it, but I also added pop rivets at regular intervals around the entire rear bow. I put a thin flat bar on the inside of the bow when I drilled to prevent damaging the fabric. You will need to remove the rear weather seal to do this but be careful they are expensive. If I were to install a top again I would add the extra rivets at the same time. They are not noticeable when you are done and I have had no trouble with it since then. I think that was 2013

Thank you for the info! I will try to do the exact same thing!
