I’ve heard that this car was only produced in the states but my car has Canada stickers under the hood and can’t remember without looking but I believe it says product of Ontario and I’m not sure if someone changed the wheels over time but they are 15 inch. I do know for sure it’s L98 because of vin and rpo codes and it has disc brakes on the back I will attach a picture of when I first got it. It has 102,000 miles I believe as the odometer reads 2000 miles( said 536 miles when I bought it) I am 3rd owner as I bought it from a friend of mine and his grandfather bought it new. I just was kind of wanting to know the rarity of a Canadian built car and what it may be worth. It has had dash pad replaced and has been painted once but needs another paint job soon. Other than that she’s tight and all original. It looks a lot better now I’ve got it home where it is going to get lots of love. Will post new pics soon

Assuming it still has the original center council, there should be a service parts identification sticker affixed inside. Post a picture of that when you have time & that will answer most, if not all of your questions.
You can hide the last six digits of the VIN number for privacy if you would like as those don't tell us much, however I believe the fist digit would be a "2" for a Canadian built car. How did your car find its way down to Tennessee? Just curious on the story.

Congrats on the purchase!
not sure how it made it to Tennessee but it still has the original console and the rpo sticker is still intact but I know for sure it’s L98 and it was originally a dark red color with trim package #2 I looked up a few of the codes before I got the car and seen the l98 in the console and the eighth number on the vin is an 8. So 350 for sure was one of the main reasons I got it. But then I seen the Canadian sticker under the hood and on rear differential it has disc brakes and there is a little tag on bottom of the differential that says something about traction but can’t remember exact words. I will have the car back home tonight hopefully and I will get a pic of rpo codes and vin and post it.

I am waiting on my buddy to come give me a ride to go get it and will have to prove that to you not being rude but it honestly says made in Ontario or product of Ontario can’t remember which. It’s a little white sticker with red maple leaf on it and it is stuck to the insulation on the hood. I should if all goes as planned today to post some pictures this evening.

You don’t have to believe me, but do a little research and you’ll see that it’s true. Someone may have put a sticker on it or a part may have come from Canada. Enjoy the car.

As Leonard stated, these cars were built in Norwood (thru 1987) or Van Nuys (thru 1992). The cars, if ordered to be exported, would get the proper RPO code and proper changes needed to comply with the regulations for where the car was being shipped and sold to. Cars for Canada, for example, had the Z49 RPO code.
The VIN, or RPO code, will tell you which plant (Norwood or Van Nuys) the car was built at.
Your car isn't quite 100% stock. It would be similar to see a car with a Holley, Edelbrock, K&N, etc., sticker on it and assume it was factory. The car is 37 some years old. Stuff gets changed, replaced, things get added, etc. That said, it may have Canada references on it, but the car was not built in Canada.
