I can't find the thread where we were talking about if T-tops were available with L98 in '88 on Camaro.

And for entertainment, here's the ad. Worth a chuckle. It's a "backdoor handshake car".

It was the 5.7, t-tops, AND the 3.23 rear end that we were talking about. This car has 2.77's

1987 is still the only year, so far that we have evidence of

Man....they are sugar coating that ad, huh? It's a low optioned car. Period. Desirable? Not really...especially when it's in such tough shape. Comparable to a 1LE? Ummmm NO

Rear Defrost
BLOCK HEATER
No A/C

All that tells me is he got the "secret handshake" at a dealership in Northern Minnesota, Alaska, Canada, etc.

I think the only thing rare is it has a block heater. These aren't exactly winter cars.

Ya, that car has 2.77 gears because he wanted T-Tops. Back in the day, we had an 88 350 IROC-Z t-top car (I think it was around 91). Had every single option including leather, but was a 2.77 posi disc brake car. Why they never did the G92 (in 88+) with t-tops in the Camaro, I will never understand. Every time I get in my current 88 I always think, man I wish it had t-tops...

When somebody brags about their 88/89 Iroc with 5.7 and Ttops i say it's a shame it's got 2.77 gears... And there like what? I tell them 3.27s were not on 5.7 cars with ttops those years and there disappointed because they never knew. I prefer hardtop cars anyway and I praise somebody with a hardtop 5.7. Then you get somebody that says man that thing would be perfect if it was a ttop car 😒

This must have been a Camaro only thing, I know on the Firebirds, all Formula 350's and GTA 350's with T-tops in 1989 had the 3.27 axle...

A LB9/A4/3.23 would be about the same performance as a L98/A4/2.73

That's because the Pontiacs got the looks, and performance.
