Trim Tag De-code

I've searched here and on the internet but cannot find a reliable source to check my 1984 Camaro's trim. can some one direct me to a source? Thank you.

I think you're looking for the Service Parts Identification sticker. It should be on the center console lid.

The SPID was introduced about 1984 so not all ThirdGens have the SPID from the factory. There was a cross-over period where both SPID and trim tag were used.

Not as familiar with the Camaro but here is a start:
The first character on your trim code is D, which is 1983 model year. 12 is December and C is 3rd week for build dates. The rest on the top is your standard VIN info, plus N for Norwood assembly plant.
60C is sand gray cloth interior. 19L and 19U is Black Upper and Lower exterior paint. Z28 is Z28 option. D80 is rear spoiler.

I believe the E on the second line is for enamel paint instead of water. Not sure what PT is on the 4th line. AR9 is reclining bucket seats. The last two large numbers are for internal plant job sequence and date.
