Sorry if this has been asked. But...

I noticed this car on the Mecum auction site. It's a '92 with the Heritage package, but it is a black car with silver stripes. Just curious if it is possible that this came this way from the factory? I always thought that the black ones only came with red stripes, and only the purple haze ones came with silver stripes. I am thinking that the owner may have either added the silver stripes after the fact or the red ones were replaced at some point with silver. Any thoughts? Thanks,
Brian

It did not come from the factory with silver stripes on a black car.

Maybe it's a car GM built behind your back after you wanted Black with Silver 25th Anniversary stripes?Originally Posted by LeonardS

I did notice the original selling dealership!
It could have been a dealer installed option. I know a lot of the dealer in our area added then after the fact once they received the cars in to the dealer ship to up the price.

Looks like someone just ordered a set of silver heritage stripes from the dealer and slapped them on an RS.
