Stripes

I have an 87 IROC white with silver / black stripes. The silver has chipped and I want to replace with red / black as well as the IROC-Z decal. Emblems will stay silver. So do the molded kits come with the red & black separate or are both colors on the same sheet together? The main reason I ask is I prefer a small space in btwn the stripes. However 87's do not have that space. Attached pic is exactly how I want it. Would probably buy thru Hawks or Phoenix I suppose.

Re: Stripes

I was thinking perhaps this one had 88-90 stripes flipped upside down but i think theyd be wider

Re: Stripes

ok thanks, purchased.

Has anyone converted their stripe / IROC-Z colors? I am wondering if this is something I could do on a weekend or am I better off having a shop do it? Seems fairly straight forward, but just want to see if anyone has any nightmare stories. Thanks!

Re: Stripes

It's something you could probably do,but I herd it gets tricky going around the front and rear bumper covers(corners)I did the decals myself, but I'm having a shop do the lower stripe.

Re: Stripes

the stripes are together tho so no space in between them the 91 graphics have a space but like you said are wider. the moulded kit fits nice the stripe kit I heard from phoenix you sometimes have to cut it to wrap the corners or use a heat gun to get it to wrap I bought the moulded it's much easier. total price shipped was something around 213.00 to my door

Re: Stripes

The work is underway, had to outsource it, I tried removing old stripes/decals on my own & realized I'm in over my head. Someone painted portions of the car over the stripes and door mouldings so wet sanding and heavy buffing needed.
