Hey so, I'm trying to purchase this 91 Z28 convertible. But I'm not sure if it's actually a Z car or not. I have the vin but don't know if that will help. And the care is a dark green color. I believe dark teal. BUT. under the hood it's a light teal color. But the door jams and stuff is the color of the car. Any help will be appreciated. And then, if it is a Z , how many were made in that color Light teal here. Rest of the car is dark green
Re: How can I tell if this convertible camaro is a Z
Private Message me the VIN and I will look it up.
Or look for the SPID. It may be inside the center console.

Well damn. I was hoping this was 1 of 3203. How did you find the color code? And do you or anyone know how many RS auto convertibles were made? And how many were dark teal?

Approximately 5,166 RS 1991 Convertibles. Approximately 1,304 of those were Dark Teal.
Well damn. That kind of just changed my perspective. If their were only 1304 of this car made. Theirs no telling how many are left. Really wish it was a Z car. But that's not bad . May be worth something.

And the car has been modified quite a bit too looks like so the value even if it was a z28 would be some lower. But a rust free V8 rag top third get is for sure a pretty desirable car anyway.

Yea , definitely wish it was numbers matching. But I may still get it today anyway. And since the motor is different. I guess I'll put this 5.3 LS in it that I have

Could really turn into something! And if that engine is a 350/5.7 with a roller cam that could be worth something too. (Probably a 305?) If you get it start a progress thread.

It has a 350 in it. But he says it's nothing impressive. I believe I may get it. He's actually wanting to do a trade. I have a 85 cutlass that's he wants. My set back is , my motor is pretty sick. I will definitely do a progress thread if I get it. Which I probably will.
