Re: 85 IROC 15k miles on BaT

I think it has over 15K...That is an aftermarket speedo and they claim mileage is unknown. It is in good shape and I'd say it has relatively low miles looking at the pedals and console. However, it does look like someone liked the lock button. Who know what has been replaced on that car....I like it though

I commented on this on BAT as it is a good driver quality Iroc.

If you're going to bother putting the car on BAT, why wouldn't you bother at least vacuuming it before taking the pictures? And what was GM thinking with that rear wiper?

I think there is more dirt on the recline lever than most enthusiasts have in their entire interior.
A car worthy of a good detail!

I had an 82 T/A with that wiper way back, but was hidden a bit with the spoiler. Seems like maybe 1/3 of the 82-85 cars had wipers? Seemed so common back in the day, but now they kind of stand out. Don't love them or hate them though.

Re: 85 IROC 15k miles on BaT

So, I went this morning and looked at it. It's definitely low miles, the interior although dusty, is in beautiful condition. The original owner worked for a railroad from the time he was 18 until he retired in about 2015. Car did sit outside the first few years of it's life so the paint isn't perfect. There's no real rust anywhere to be found. It'll be a great car for someone.

Definitely could have benefited from a $200 detail and some better photos

The bidders seem to really be wanting it bad for the condition it shows.

Edit. It just ended at $21,500

Re: 85 IROC 15k miles on BaT

Memory Lane for me. in High School (1986), there was some guy with this same car. Even down to the rear wiper too. He tore that car up unfortunately. This was a high dollar car for some high school kid. Daddy bought(?) and teenager destroyed! After a year or two he got a new Mustang GT, fully equipped. Don't know what happened to the IROC. But from what I remember, his girlfriend was HOT! Good times!

Re: 85 IROC 15k miles on BaT

This car was not a 15k mile car. There are way too many discrepancies for 15k. I mentioned some on the BaT auction also.

How does one turn on the rear wiper?
I checked every photo and could not find a switch

I believe on early Camaros, there was a switch where the fog light switch is on this car.

Enquiring OCD minds need to know.
