My fav Trans Am
I found these old pics I figured I'd post them. This is the car that got me interested in 3rd gens. My Moms friend bought it brand new in '87 at Vince Whibbs Pontiac in Pensacola, FL. She used to take us riding around in it with the t-tops off, and I sat on that hump between the back seats many times, even on the console lid once when there were six of us in the car. I'm assuming it had the LG4 since it had the 15" wheels. Unfortunately it got ragged out pretty early on because she had a teenage daughter that also used to drive it. I took these Polaroid pics in the summer of '88 (I was 9 yrs old) and you can see it already had a set of Daytons put on it.

It certainly does. My family didn't have much money in the 80s, so we always had the old 1970s land yachts. In that first pic you can see a glimpse of the dented fender of our old '77 Thunderbird. So you could imagine as a 9 year old riding in that new Trans Am I felt like a king! 😁

I owned a twin to your car back in 1990-1992 was a great car & my first really nice car. One of my memories was the glow of the interior & dash lighting first time I drove it at night. Was so amazing at the time. 2nd set of tires in this picture, but they were still making the Eagle GTs at that time An LG4, but I think you could get the TPI engine with out the WS6. I am not positive on that though. The blue was a stunning color

The GTA I have now is that same Flame Red color. Only downside of the GTA is the solid color, I kinda prefer the silver gfx on the 'regular' T/A. Can't put white letter tires on a GTA either.

Re: My fav Trans Am
Have you ever attempted to try & track it down? Maybe somebody in your relation could find some old paperwork with the VIN on it?
I took the picture above when the car was only 4 years old & still smelled like new inside I saw it at a gas station in the late 90s, no longer owned by the guy I sold mine too. I talked to the owner at that time for a little bit & it was still in great shape. I often wonder if that one is still being well cared for,
or is long gone into the weeds or possible wrecked & recycled.
