TPI tags on rear bumper

TPI tags on rear bumper
I was just wondering if late production 86 Z's and irocs had the tpi tags (chrome) on the rear bumpers even though if they were noy tpi?

Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 12 Bolt
If the car didn't have TPI from the factory they would not have the TPI emblem on the bumper,regardless of how late in the year it was produced.Sounds like a previous owner put it on there for whatever reason.

Agreed, it does not belong there, Thre are however strange things that happen in the factory, and I have seen 1/2 GMC 1/2 Chevrolet S-10/15 Trucks, brand new on the dealer Lot. Reguardless, it does not belong UNLESS it has TPI from the factory. 8th didget of the VIN will be an "F" if it did.

it's the ho and that tag is on the drivers side and the tpi is on the passengers side. maybe it's a ho thing or someone stuck it on there like you said,but i dont want to pull it off there until i know for shure
