Re: What's wrong with this picture?
Definitely the price as its not a real iroc. The door decals in the wrong location, not a tpi, no engine decal in the back, and the tail pipes are ugly. Just from looking for a hot second
Re: What's wrong with this picture?
I am 99% sure the IROC was available with the LG4 at least some years.

I have a friend who has an 87 lg4 5 speed iroc. It had 60k and it's mint. He paid 13k 8 months ago.

IROC-Zs are not top of the line 3rd gens.
They could be had with LG4/L03 engines until 1990 when the LB9 TPI engine became standard equipment. Could also still be had with 15x7 wheels until the end.

Re: What's wrong with this picture?
It's a real IROC, with a horrible repaint, decals in the wrong locations, things like steering wheel, shifter, etc, are not original. It also has the worst powertrain possible for the year - L03 and auto. If it at least it were a 5 speed, you'd have that and 3.08 gears.
I might be interested at 10-12K.

FYI, regarding IROCs, even the milktoast version like thiis, with 15 x 7 wheels, comes with the full strength FE2, IROC-Z suspension, with includes front Wonderbar and rear Bilstein gas shocks.
Re: What's wrong with this picture?
I'm surprised at some of these responses calling this a non-IROC and whatever. So it looks like we need to go over some of the basics again.
All Z28s from 1988-1990 model years have the IROC-Z suspension and appearance package
The IROC-Z is the top of the line 3rd gen Camaro. Especially in the 1985-1987 model years, as it was an optional package on top of the Z28.
*All* IROC-Zs have the Z28 RPO code. The 1985-'87 model years will require B4Z, otherwise, it's a Z28.
The Z28 didn't go away from 1988-1990 as ALL IROC-Z cars still require the Z28 RPO designation, and some badging still calls out Z28
The IROC-Z was available with the base LG4 in the early years and L03 in the later years.
The IROC-Z usually comes with 16" wheels, however, starting in 1988, 15" IROC-Z and standard Z28 wheels were available.
Problems with this car:
incorrect paint, nasty exhaust, incorrect door decal placement, not wrong, but a replacement steering wheel, cheap replacement emblems with incorrect font on exterior, cheap replacement parking lights/turn signals

I'll pipe in and defend the L03 and the auto combo. It has it's merits as a dead-nuts reliable combo for a daily driver. You gotta kind of beat on it to have fun with it, but it will gladly take it and ask for more. If I lived in the south where rust does not destroy them, I'd happily DD one again.
