I don't think the 1LE package came on a RS.And RS's didn't have 5.7's in them

Carline Code: F-Body
Carline Series: Camaro (all models)
Body Type: 2 door coupe (hatchback)

it still makes no sense, 1les didnt have an rs badge, Im not positive but im pretty sure none of them were purple. It would make sense to be an old police car cause those were the rs, with the tpi motor, but still why would it be purple?

92 rs police package B4C camaros had the "1LE" on the RPO codes due to the corvette caliper brakes on the 92 B4C camaros. The did not have the other 1LE equipment (aluminum shaft, different suspension and no G92 option(performance axle)).

All 92 B4C camaros had this rpo.

Color does not matter. The police dept probably painted the same color it came, or it came that way from the factory and the police dept used it as an undercover car.

The VIN is not bogus!!!

Hope this helps!!!

'92 B4C's did have the 1LE option because they got the Corvette style front brake calipers.

The seller probably just doesn't know the difference. When I bought my car the dealership told me the 1LE was the police package(I now know it is B4C). Either way it is a good package as long as its real. Its been rolled, but could still be saved.

weren't all B4C cars also 305 TPI's? the add and the Vin both state thats its a 350, but i was under the impression that you couldn't get a 350 in an RS, B4C or not...

Just a thought, im probably wrong.

I live close enough to go take a look, its worse in person. *** Trust me. However its in decent enough shape for parts or for someone with enough cash to fix it. THe paint is alot crappier, totally scratch. Looks like it rolled of a truck down the high way. All the windows need replaced, the engine is fing dirty, but it does start, but it sounds funky wonky. Something is major wrong.

Really would be a great project car. I'd like to rip the gfx off it though. Only if. Interior is in average shape.

didnt all B4C's have the standard RS grille or did they have it setup like the 1LE's:
Z28 grille minus foglamps?

1LE has AC, radio, etc. delete. Definately not 1LE, but I can see B4C as a definate possibility.

B4C camaros came with either the 305 tpi with 5 speed or the 350 tpi auto.

Let me rephrase that,it does have 1LE rpo code only because of the Corvette style brakes.

ahhaha, dealers don't always know alot about the cars they sell. I bought a 92 RS with a motor swap to a LT1 for about 3 grand. It was a little family dealership, and boy did i ever get a deal!

Im willing to bet it is a b4c as discussed above, but not necessarily police. Where i work <post office> we can get any police vehicle ordered for our inspectors in any color. They also usually keep the cars way longer than police do and dont put near as many miles on them... for instance we just sold at auction a 93 rustang police interceptor with only 77000 miles on it. Also We just sold a 94 B4C Camaro, with only 47000 miles on it. Its kinda funny about those two cars because they were not at all "normal" police looking cars other than when you looked under the hoods.

Id bet that its nothing more than a wrecked B4C that was used in "some" form of law enforcement/government law enforcement.

just my .02 worth tho.

IT is most likely as mentioned above a B4C, they got the 1LE package but got A/C I believe.

Ran the VIN at work. It is a B4C with black custom cloth interior (19C). And get this, it is saddled with California emissions (YF5)! It has the 1LE code for the big brakes too. This is where the seller thinks it's a 1LE.
