Shepherd Reher-Morrison 84 Pro Stock Camaro
This came across my Hot Rod subscription.
I always liked this car (and I'd posted about it before) and this article gives a better view of it in general.

It's for sale too.

I was a big Pro Stock and Top Fuel fan back in those days and also have pics of Don Garlits' car somewhere.
I found these pictures, still in 'slide' format, inside the model box! I used my cellphone to digitize them.
And yes, I did see this Camaro up for auction recently. It sold for $55,000!
I thought man, how cool would that be! I'm getting too old to collect more things, and my shop is about full as it is.

EPIC pictures! A 40+ years time capsule.
Same as your model kit! Finish it and post the final product here. I've got Garlits' rear engine dragster, the Ram Chargers Dodge, Little Red Wagon and a couple of others waiting for those retirement days after I've also retired my Camaro.
Thanks for posting that.

I'm glad I found this post! It was a nice travel back in time. Glad I found the slides/pictures in excellent condition.
I'll finish the model, eventually, and post the pics here if I don't forget! haha

In the fall of 81 when I still racing my 68 Chevelle and I saw a 3rd gen for the 1st time, I said that one day it would make a cool hot rod. Decades later I've owned about ten of them, race my 86 and have a clean 82 roller that's a project in waiting.

I was still in High School when the '82 models hit the lots. My dad and I looked at them. Only the rich kids in HS had one. My first car was a fixer-upper 1970 Z28, 4 speed. All the original parts, just driven hard by the previous owner. Not hacked, just dialy
beatings. Hah. Learned how to work on cars with it, as it needed about everything done. Did most of it myself and made it a nice daily driver for 12 years. 1983-1995 ish.
Just this week I bought a nice black T-Top 1987 IROC with 56k miles. Waiting for it to be shipped from AZ. My first 3rd gen. I also had a 1993 Z28, 6 speed, that I bought new, and had it for a few years.

Welcome to 3rd gen.
And be sure to show the crowd your new car when it arrives. This an excellent forum. Full of historians, great tech, racers and enthusiasts in general.
