85 IROC 2500 miles???
Just ran across this on e-bay today:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...704861&r=0&t=0
Can't imagine having a car over 15 yrs and only putting 2500 miles on it. I probably put 2,500 miles on my 86 IROC in the first month I had the thing.
Anyone here have really low original miles on their car and how did you fight that temptation?

I want that IROC sooooo bad. The owner sent me pictures of it when he first got it last year with 2,200 miles. What an amazing car.
A car like that could get me divorced...

you've never seen my wife pissed off...
btw, I've got a really funny story about my wife driving my IROC way back when we were in college. Is there a place on the forums to post something like that?

Whatever it ended up being, if I didn't have my Z28, I'd shell out plenty for a mint 2,500 mile first year IROC :hail:

That is a sweet ride, there are some pretty amazing cars for sale on eBay... I saw a '78 vette with ~600 miles on it... the driver drove it home from the dealership and parked it, then let it sit for 20+ years.
Well, it looks like just doing my normal driving will put me at 10k miles this summer. Because of this, I will be taking 2 roadtrips...one to Superfest in Michigan and the other to the 1000 Camaro get-together in Bowling Green, KY at the Corvette museum. Will that be close enough to a trans-america tour?

Well for me Scott, it gives me two chances of seeing that fine piece of machinery...I'll definitely be at superfest again this year. I was even for a while considering going to the Fla winter nationals this year. My parents live down that way and I haven't seen them in awhile. We kid you about the low mileage but I hope you realize, we're all envious of such a low mileage vehicle. Don't change your habits...
Rob, it doesn't bother me about the kidding. I bought the car with low miles and became a fanatic about keeping it that way. I do drive the car and I enjoy driving it, however, since it isn't my primary transportation, it only get driven for pleasure and shows. That's why the mileage is still low!

3rd owner, believe it or not
First owner drove it like 700 miles, sold it in 1984. Second owner drove it about 2000 miles, sold it to me in 2001. It had 2745 miles then. I've put about 300 miles on it in 11 months. I'm keeping it forever, unless a life-or-death situation causes me to sell.. let's hope not.

Yecchhh 15 year old motor oil... that's when the 3 month rule comes into effect... hehe but I put 400 :lala: miles on my car every week. I think I'll take some pics when I hit 200K and put up some BS post LOL... it's kinda fun having a 148k '84 Firebird, cause people are always impressed when I say I paid $1300 and they see 48k on the clock... :hail: 5 digit odometers
